Chris Gallant is 37 years old and wants to make it to the U.S. Congress. Before that, he was a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, remains in the National Guard, worked as an air traffic controller, and is even a volunteer firefighter in his Long Island, New York, community.
Between 2011 and 2020, while serving in the National Guard, he also modeled for Mr. S Leather, a fetish store in San Francisco. The New York Post published those photos on September 13, 2026, just as Gallant is running against Republican Nick LaLota for New York’s 1st District.
His lawyer, Sara Azari, did not deny it: she confirmed that the images are real, taken during a private, consensual session with his partner at the time. Gallant won the Democratic primary in June with 63% of the vote and now faces the general election on November 3. Should his past matter at the polls?
