A moment of panic broke out on a Frontier Airlines flight when a visibly disturbed passenger tried to open the exit doors and jump from the plane in mid-flight, in addition to trying to force his way into the pilot’s cabin, a furious outburst that was filmed by another traveler and shows the man being restrained by several passengers and crew members while he struggled violently.

Flight attendants begged him to sit down and stop, but he ignored their pleas and rushed toward the front of the plane, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, and that was when Josh Longood, a former MMA fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, along with other passengers, decided to intervene to prevent the man from carrying out his threat to get off the plane in mid-flight.

After several minutes of struggling, they managed to tie him up with plastic zip ties and forced him to remain in his seat while the plane made an emergency landing in Miami, where police arrested the unidentified passenger and charged him with misdemeanor battery, while Longood posted a photo on social media smiling next to the handcuffed man and joked: “I hope my next flight is much more boring”.
