Isabela Pereira de Jesus’s look lasted less than five seconds, and she wasn’t even crying.
She was born by cesarean section at a hospital in Rio de Janeiro in February 2020, and photographer Rodrigo Kunstmann, hired by her parents to cover the birth, took about 15 shots.

In one of them, the newborn opened her eyes wide and furrowed her brow, with such a stern expression that she seemed to be complaining about something to the entire operating room. She didn’t cry. The doctor even said to her: “Cry, Isa!”, and the baby only did so after they cut the umbilical cord.
The image was shared more than 100 thousand times in just a few days, and Kunstmann started receiving calls from the international press. Her mother, Daiane de Jesus Barbosa, said that her daughter “was born as a ready-made meme”, and since she arrived one month before the pandemic, people joked that she already knew what was coming.

The family set up the Instagram account “Isa Bravinha”, and on her second birthday she posed again with the photographer, both with the same furrowed brows.
