A serious medical diagnosis exposes the dangers of overusing certain commercial products to fight fatigue and get extra energy, which did not seem to be very healthy for Alison.

The affected woman, 25-year-old Alison Dunn, ended up in the operating room in March 2025 after consuming one 355 milliliter can of energy drinks four times a week due to her work routine at a warehouse in Florida.

Specialists confirmed that the high levels of sugars and sodium in these substances concentrated her urine, causing a 6,5 millimeter stone that blocked her ureter. The obstruction led to severe inflammation and infection of organs that nearly caused sepsis, a potentially fatal medical emergency.
