Jennifer Lawrence took months to discover what an offhand comment can set off.
In November 2025, during Vanity Fair’s lie detector test with Robert Pattinson, the actress let slip that Kourtney Kardashian was “more annoying than ever” and that she “drove her crazy”. Her explanation was that “everything has to be an ad”, like when someone announces they’re not going to wear outfits anymore or that they don’t have a TV in their bedroom.

The response came during the season 8 premiere of The Kardashians on October 8, 2026. Kourtney, 47, told her friend Simon Huck that Kris Jenner had texted her saying she’d spoken with Lawrence and Emma Stone and thought they were the best. Kourtney reacted furiously and said that if Lawrence thought she was one of her sisters, she’d slap her. She added that she didn’t understand the complaint when she was at home breastfeeding and doing nothing else.

But her tone changed when she watched the clip again: according to TMZ, she admitted it wasn’t that big a deal and that she’d taken it too personally because she was having a very sensitive week, feeling attacked from all sides. Meanwhile, Lawrence, 36, had asked Kim Kardashian for her email address so she could write to her and say that she feels like one of her sisters.
