While his owners slept in a motel, a dog had been locked in a cage inside a pickup truck for more than 10 hours, without water or shade. The floor had reached 122 °F, about 50 °C, and the animal ended up with burned paws and could barely stand.

Officers found the dog completely exposed to the heat and took him to receive veterinary care. His owners were arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

The dog was placed in the care of an animal protection center, where he began his recovery. By then, he had already spent more than 10 hours trapped in extreme conditions.
