““It’s like having love bombs right next to you””: that’s how Jennifer Aniston describes her dogs, and it all started with a dog named Norman

Jennifer Aniston has no doubt about what a perfect day looks like: it includes her dogs.

“Dogs are everything. They are pure, living, sincere love. It’s literally like having love bombs right next to you”, she told People magazine. And this week she proved it again by sharing photos of a “Sunday of love” with her four-legged friends.

The story behind that phrase began on the set of the famous “Friends”. While filming the series that made her Rachel to half the planet, an animal trainer told her about Norman, a dog who wouldn’t follow commands and was looking for a home. Jennifer went to meet him and, without a second thought, adopted him. He was her first rescued dog.

Norman was by her side for years. When he died in 2011, she didn’t let the memory live on only in photos: she had his name tattooed on her foot. Since then, she has continued sharing her life with dogs and has used her enormous visibility to speak up for adoption and animal rescue.

To Aniston, they aren’t pets. They are pure love.
