Donald Trump publicly criticized the extremely high price of tickets for the 2026 World Cup, especially those for the match between the United States and Paraguay in Los Angeles.
According to the outlet, the cheapest tickets are around $1.940 dollars on FIFA’s official platform, something that surprised even the U.S. president.
Trump said he was not aware of those prices and delivered a line that quickly went viral: “I would love to be there, but I wouldn’t pay that, to be honest”.
In addition, he left open the possibility that his government could review the issue of prices, following criticism from fan groups against FIFA’s ticket sales policy.
