So when dozens of stray cats found a Bitcoin mining farm, they didn’t hesitate: they curled up on the graphics cards, right where the heat escaped from the fans. The problem was that they blocked the ventilation grilles, the equipment overheated, and the security systems shut everything down automatically, bringing the entire operation to a halt without anyone authorizing it.
Any owner would have chased the cats away with a broom. Not this one. It turned out to be a cat lover, and instead of driving them away, they had a separate heated room built, with more than 200 heating mats so the cats could sleep safely without climbing back in among the machines.
