What yesterday were quiet streets in Samsun are today wild rapids that devour everything in their path. Turkey’s Black Sea coast became the scene of a nightmare.

Torrential rains turned the city into a brown river that drags cars away as if they were simple plastic toys.

The water reached 1,2 meters deep, leaving 12 people hospitalized and dozens of drivers trapped on the roofs of their vehicles praying for rescue. Leaving deposits of mud up to 30 centimeters thick covering homes and schools. Amid power outages and flooded basements, the fury of nature left the region on its knees.
