During the pandemic, Tom Holland couldn’t find eggs in any supermarket and ended up buying three chickens so “he wouldn’t run out of eggs during quarantine” 😅

March 2020. Tom Holland walks into a supermarket in London and doesn’t find a single egg.

The pandemic was just beginning, and panic had emptied the shelves across the United Kingdom: toilet paper, pasta, and, for some reason, eggs. The 23-year-old actor, who at that moment was literally Spider-Man on the big screen, searched several stores without luck.

So he did what any superhero would do in his place: he skipped the supermarket altogether. “If there are no eggs, we decided to be the source of the eggs”, he announced with a laugh on Instagram, while holding one of his three new chickens. 😅

He named them Predator, Ranger, and Chestnut, and with the help of his brother Harry and a couple of friends, he put together a small chicken coop in the backyard of his house. In the video, when he tried to affectionately hug one of them in front of the camera, the bird slipped out of his arms without a second thought. Four years later, the anecdote continues to circulate as the sweetest and funniest memory left to us by the first month of lockdown.
