Jackie Koorn measures her arms, and the figure seems like a mistake: 23 inches (58 centimeters) of pure bicep.

To put it into context, Arnold Schwarzenegger reached 22 inches (55 centimeters) during the golden era of his career, when he was the most photographed body on the planet. This 36-year-old Dutch woman, originally from Schagen, surpassed him by training in her own gym, with a routine that combines pure strength and a diet calculated down to the gram. Before bodybuilding, she did judo, soccer, and kickboxing, until the pandemic pushed her to take iron seriously in 2020.

Now Koorn has a goal even bigger than her arms: to be crowned the World’s Strongest Woman. On March 8, she will make her debut in that competition, the first of its kind in her career, determined to prove that she is only just beginning to grow.
