Subway passengers in Shanghai witnessed a peculiar dilemma: who has more right to a seat? The tension began when an older adult started yelling at a child to get up and let him sit down.
The little girl, who barely understood the situation, continued drawing happily and ignoring the man’s anger. Faced with the child’s indifference, the elderly man raised his demands by shouting.
A passenger nearby tried to mediate, asking the adult to stop when she saw that the infant had no intention of moving.
“She’s just a child, she doesn’t know about those things”, several commenters said after the video spread on social media.
In China it is common for minors to travel alone; in this case, it is unknown whether the parents were in another car due to the large crowd of people. In the end, the elderly man had no choice but to resign himself and continue the trip standing.
