Antônio Romão, a 72-year-old man, was walking through São Paulo, Brazil, when a dog that was running crashed into him. 😣

The impact was so strong that it threw him to the ground extremely violently, causing a blow to the head that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury, as well as a nasal fracture and an irreversible spinal cord injury that left him quadriplegic.

Antônio spent weeks in a coma and was hospitalized for four months before dying due to the severity of his injuries.
According to the latest information, Brazilian authorities are still investigating the animal’s owners for alleged negligence in allowing the dog to roam loose on public roads. 💔
