After 14 months away, the caretaker returned to Elephant Nature Park and decided to call out to the herd to see if they still remembered him. And as soon as they heard his voice, the elephants began running excitedly toward him.
Within seconds, Darrick was surrounded by the animals, who affectionately came over to greet him and give him a welcome that ended up moving thousands of people on social media.
The emotional reunion was captured on video and once again showed something many people forget: elephants not only have an incredible memory, they also form deep bonds with the people they love. 🥺❤️
