Elliot Page and Lupita Nyong’o would be the new Achilles and Helen of Troy in The Odyssey, according to rumors

Rumors about the new adaptation of The Odyssey claim that Elliot Page would play Achilles and Lupita Nyong’o would be Helen of Troy… and the alleged casting choice has already sparked enormous controversy.

While some argue that Christopher Nolan would be betting on a more modern and different version of the story, others believe that the casting decisions do not fit the classic image of the characters.

Much of the debate arose due to the inevitable comparisons with previous versions of the characters, especially with Brad Pitt as Achilles and Diane Kruger as Helen of Troy in the 2004 film Troy, performances that for many remain “iconic” and difficult to surpass.
