Because of the puppies’ breed, many users assumed that the couple had bought them rather than adopted them, and the reproaches soon followed. “It promotes buying, indulgence, and exploitation”, one user wrote in the comments, in a criticism that does not accuse Yamal and Inés of anything illegal, but rather questions the message conveyed by two figures with millions of followers when choosing that route instead of giving an animal a second chance.
