Former Chelsea player Oscar surprised everyone by revealing how he managed the huge fortune he earned during his seven years in China, in a conversation with his former teammate John Obi Mikel.
“I put my entire salary into a separate account and never touched it even once”. According to The Sun, he was reported to have earned around $20 million dollars a year.
Oscar explained: “My family and I lived off the match bonuses because they were already huge”. During his time in Shanghai, he played 248 matches, scored 77 goals and provided 142 assists.
As well as winning three Chinese Super League titles and one Chinese Cup. His time in China marked his career because of his young age and the future he secured for his family.
