Heartbreaking: family tried to euthanize their perfectly healthy dog simply because he didn’t get along with their new pet 💔

The story of Peep, an 11-year-old Chihuahua, sparked outrage after his owners attempted to have him euthanized despite him being completely healthy. Worst of all, the only reason they gave was that the little dog didn’t get along with a new pet they had recently brought into the home. 💔

Thankfully, a rescue shelter in Indiana stepped in just in time and saved him before it was too late. However, after arriving at his temporary foster home, Peep suffered a severe emotional collapse from the abandonment: he constantly trembled, refused to leave his crate and wouldn’t eat.

Meet Peep! This sweet old man was taken in to be euthanized by his owners. They stated that he just didn’t get along with their new dog. Since he didn’t have any medical need to be euthanized, the shelter reached out to rescues to save him. Thankfully, @Chihuahua Rescue Ind was able to grab him. Even so, the shelter refused to give up on him. With patience, love and proper care, Peep slowly began to show his true personality again. Thanks to that, he is now in the adoption process and dozens of people are hoping to give him the loving home he always deserved. ❤️
