The controversy erupted when goalkeeper Andriy Lunin hugged Daphne Cañizares, Carvajal’s wife, placing his hand in a position considered excessively low. Immediately, thousands of fans online harshly accused him of being “handsy” and of committing a serious act of disrespect.
