Chance Topp, a 29-year-old American father, faces serious charges after being accused of causing the death of his 4-month-old daughter because, according to prosecutors, he was frustrated by her crying and wanted to go back to sleep.
Although at first he claimed that he had fallen asleep and that the baby simply stopped breathing, medical reports contradicted his version.
Authorities say that Topp ended up admitting that he pressed the pacifier against the infant’s face “too hard and for too long”.
He is now being held on $200,000 bail and faces 13 charges, including aggravated murder and domestic violence. 😢
