A man from Bono, Arkansas, returned home after work and went to take a shower. When he came out of the bathroom, he found himself facing a scene that, according to police, ended up triggering a 911 call.
His wife, Crystal Lynn Fallis, 45, was with his biological son, Austin Dennis Lee Casey, 27.
The situation occurred on July 4, 2024, while several family members were in the home and had been drinking. One of them, the other brother, had fallen asleep and, upon waking, also reportedly found the two together, prompting a request for help from the authorities.
When officers arrived at the house in Bono, Casey had already fled. However, he was located shortly afterward and arrested. Fallis was also arrested.
According to the police report, investigators determined that it was not an assault, although the situation ended with criminal charges against both of them.
The two were taken to the Craighead County detention center and each was held on US$35.000 bail, in addition to an order prohibiting them from having contact with each other.
The case drew attention precisely because of the way it was discovered: two people asleep, a house where everyone had been drinking, and two family members who woke up at different times to the same unexpected situation.
