Darlyn Castillo, a transgender woman, was invited to “Sin Filtro Radio Show” to talk about her life. What she encountered was an interrogation.
Claribel Adames, known as “La Loba”, explained on camera that she would never use the pronoun “she” to refer to her, because for the host, deep down, she is still “a man”.
She asked her whether she had undergone surgery, told her that she could feel like a woman, behave like a woman, have the physical characteristics of a woman, but that this did not change what she was “inside”, according to her personal view.
Darlyn tried to respond calmly, pointing out that those kinds of questions are not asked of just anyone on the street.
The host insisted that it was her right to express her opinion.
The video spread quickly, and social media was divided between those who defend Adames’s freedom of expression and those who see her words as a basic lack of respect for a person’s identity. 😔
