Kallie Keeler was 15 when she stepped onto the mat at a state tournament in Puyallup, Washington. She never imagined she would end up shouting to her mother, who was recording from the stands, that her opponent’s fingers were inside her clothing. She let herself be pinned just to make it all stop.
According to the 74-page lawsuit she and her mother filed, Kallie only learned afterward that her opponent was a biological male competing under a gender identity. She says she felt “violated again” when she found out. Her mother took the video to the school. No one did anything.

The formal police report came almost two months later, when the case was already in the media — far too late under state law, which requires these cases to be reported within 48 hours. Kallie quit wrestling for good. Her lawsuit asks that no other girl ever have to compete without knowing who she is facing. 😔
