Amy Slaton had lost more than 90 kilos and still felt like her body wasn’t allowing her to breathe properly.
Over a video call, Dr. Linda Li, a plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, reviewed her case and didn’t ask her to lose a single pound more: she approved her right then for skin-removal surgery.
Amy arrived at that consultation about 31 kilos lighter than she was at her wedding to Brian Lovvorn, after two pregnancies and a divorce that put her progress on hold for a while. “Finally, I can breathe”, she said as soon as she heard the news.
Her sister Tammy and brother Chris already went under the knife in 2025 after losing 226 and 68 kilos, respectively. Now, in season 9 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, it’s Amy’s turn to take that step—although some previews suggest the road still has a twist in store.
