Mally Roncal recalled the first time she worked with Beyoncé and how a last-minute decision ended up changing her career. The makeup artist said that, when she saw Beyoncé sit down in front of her, she thought she needed very little and decided to go with a much more natural look.
“I finished in 10 minutes and she said to me: ‘Um… makeup takes two hours’”, she recalled. Mally replied that, with Beyoncé’s face and her makeup, they only needed those 10 minutes.
Five days later, she received a call from the singer’s team: they had compared the looks from several premieres, and Beyoncé wanted to know what she would do over the next year. For Mally, that moment marked a before and after in her career. ✨
