In India, a 28-year-old firefighter named Utsav Patil died and another was seriously injured while they were trying to free a pigeon trapped in electrical wires in Diva, near Mumbai.
In an act of heroism and empathy to help the trapped animal, Utsav Patil suffered a severe electric shock when he touched a high-voltage wire, while his colleague, Azad Patil, sustained burns to his hands and chest.
It was later revealed that Utsav did not survive the electric shock and was honored for his brave action.
