Billy, Eric, Tyson, Jade, and Elsie arrived together in quarantine at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in England. What no one anticipated was that this shared confinement would turn into the worst (or best) improv workshop in history. 🦜

One would start with the profanity, another would join in, and within seconds all five would erupt into a chorus of swear words followed by their own laughter. Yes: the parrots laughed too. Chief executive Steve Nichols admitted that the birds seemed to know exactly what they were doing, synchronizing their insults to provoke reactions and enjoying the show as much as any stand-up comedian. Several adult visitors were dying of laughter when the birds insulted them, but the problem was clear: children were there too. 😬

The zoo’s solution was to separate them before they taught their manners to the rest of the flock, some 200 African grey parrots. Nichols summed it up with brutal honesty: “If these five birds teach the others, we could end up with 250 parrots swearing.” The reunion of England’s rudest group will have to wait. 😂🦜
