Mark Hughes had no time to lose, literally. ⏱️
On November 11, 1987, he played the full 90 minutes for Wales in Prague in the Euro qualifiers. When the final whistle blew, he did not even stay for a shower: he ran out of the stadium in his kit and headed straight for a private jet waiting for him on the runway. Bayern Múnich were playing in the German Cup that same night, and the club refused to play without him.
Upon landing in Múnich, a Porsche drove him at full speed to the Olympic Stadium. He came on in the second half with the team losing, and his presence was enough to change the course of the game: Bayern came back to win. Two countries, a jet, a Porsche and a football match on each pitch 🔴⚪
