The latest season of Euphoria brought more than one criticism toward the new storyline of Sydney Sweeney’s character. This time, from inside the series, actress Chloe Cherry, who comes from adult films, lashed out at OnlyFans work.
“Cassie’s character is attractive, but it’s crazy how they present it. Someone rich who lives like she does turning to that kind of work? It’s like: damn, is this where we are as a society?”, Cherry said.
At the same time, Chloe criticizes the way the series treats the “selling of bodies”. “They think sex work is empowering, then they present news that women earn 700 million through OnlyFans. It’s all just fantasies and smoke”, she stated.
For his part, the series director, Sam Levinson, defended Sweeney’s character. “A blonde woman with large breasts posing only responds to screenwriters’ fantasies” and “Sweeney is brilliant”, were his comments.
