Daniel Riolo, a French journalist for RMC Sport, made one of those comparisons that break the internet: he put Michael Olise side by side with Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini.
The problem came when Riolo himself had to walk it back: “We were drunk. We put Olise at Zidane and Platini’s table. He’s not even in the kitchen”.
The clip went viral not because of the football analysis, but because of the journalist’s brutal honesty in admitting that the wine spoke louder than sporting judgment.
A reminder that even experts, after a few too many drinks, can turn a football conversation into the best joke of the night.
