“Gustavo Fring would never have allowed himself to be seen like this”.
Giancarlo Esposito surprised audiences in London at the premiere of the second season of The Gentlemen, where he appeared in a look quite far removed from the understated suits many still remember him for from Breaking Bad.
The actor chose black pants and a completely transparent shirt that left his torso on display, along with dark glasses and a long coat that he even opened in front of the cameras to show even more of the outfit.
As expected, the photographs soon began circulating on social media, and the comments filled with references to Gustavo Fring. Among them was one that summed up the image change in just four words: “Went from Gus to gay” 😂.
That said, the comment is playing solely on his look and his famous character. Giancarlo’s clothing says absolutely nothing about his sexual orientation, but it did make it clear that offscreen he has no problem taking considerably more risks than Gus Fring.
