There were barely four minutes left until the end and Norway needed a hero. Erling Haaland, 25, appeared in the 86th minute to seal the 2-1 win over Ivory Coast in Dallas, Texas, and send his national team into the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup. 🇳🇴⚽

But what came next was what set social media ablaze. The striker put on boots, a cowboy hat, and wrote “Howdy!” on his photos. Hours later he changed characters: a horned Viking helmet, a Norway jersey, and a red heart as his signature. He even visited the Wild Bill’s Western Store wearing a T-shirt that said “you can kiss my Dallas”. 🤠

With that goal, Haaland reached 5 goals in the tournament and became the fastest scorer to reach 60 with Norway. On Sunday, July 5, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a huge opponent awaits him: Brazil.
