In just a few days, Cape Verde went from a defeat to Mali to another against Rwanda. In both matches, Vozinha was blamed for an error.
First came the 3-1 defeat to Mali, followed by another 2-1 loss to Rwanda, in qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations. His mistake was linked to the goal that decided both matches.
Vozinha’s team sits third in Group K with 0 points from two matches.
Despite being nominated for best goalkeeper at the Ballon d’Or, Vozinha has played three matches for Colo Colo since his arrival. In various interviews, he has said that he lost his privacy and misses his former life.
“I lost my peace, my tranquility, and I no longer have any privacy”, the Cape Verdean goalkeeper commented in an interview with the British outlet The Observer.
