Donald ‘Chip’ Pugh, 45, had a serious problem: police in Lima, Ohio, were looking for him for several crimes. But he had another problem, one that mattered more to him: he hated the photo they had posted of him.

So he did what no fugitive should do. He wrote to them. He sent them a new selfie, wearing a sports jacket and sunglasses, along with a message that said: “Here is a better photo, that one is terrible”. Not satisfied, he called a local radio station to complain that in the original image he looked like “Thundercat”.

Lima police posted the new photo on their Facebook page, grateful for the involuntary cooperation. Pugh was arrested Tuesday in Century, Florida, and was held on another outstanding warrant in Georgia. No one could reach him for comment: he was, finally, posing for his real final photo.
