At 18, Georgina Rodríguez wanted to study but couldn’t leave Jaca.
The way out came in the form of a job offer at a hotel in a tiny town near Barbastro, two and a half hours from home. Her mother gave her 100 euros to encourage her to accept it, and that was how she started earning her first salary, paying rent, and living on her own.
After that experience, she knew she wanted to move to Madrid because her dream was to study business administration.

Arriving there was extremely tough. She looked for cheap apartments costing around 300 euros a month and ended up in a terrible one: freezing cold in winter, scorching hot in summer. She said that in her childhood, she never went without the basics, but sometimes they ate better and sometimes worse, and sometimes they had hot water and sometimes they didn’t.
She dropped off her résumé at Inditex, started at Massimo Dutti, went to England as a nanny, where she learned English, and when she returned, Gucci called her. Today she has her own brand: Mimoa, which is gradually gaining prominence internationally and establishing her as the businesswoman she always dreamed of becoming 💪
