Ash Patrick was 28 years old and had been on hormones for two years when the test came back positive.
He lived in Huntington, West Virginia, in the midst of his transition as a trans man, when a casual encounter resulted in the least planned pregnancy of his life.
It was high-risk, with doctors who didn’t know how to treat him and a healthcare system that wasn’t designed for a body like his. 🤰
A month later he met Jordan, who became his husband and now raises Ronan, born in October 2020, alongside him.
“Giving birth was the most masculine thing I’ve ever done”, Ash said.
He is still undergoing treatment, but decided to pause the process: he wants to have more children before completing it. 💙
