Out of seven children, four decided to dedicate their lives to God. The Morrison family, in Maryland, reflects how faith sown at home bears astonishing fruit. James, Danny, and Nicholas are priests, while Mary Sophia is a Dominican sister.

For Father Danny, 26, it all began at age 4 when he saw the priests having dinner in his home. “I was struck by seeing a man with so much joy”, he recalls about those moments that awakened his desire to serve after being homeschooled alongside his siblings.

This phenomenon is no coincidence. According to a 2024 report from the CARA center, 15% of new priests in the U.S. were homeschooled, a huge increase from the 3% recorded in 2006.
For the Morrisons, the key was living Catholicism as something natural and everyday, surrounded by a community that sought holiness. “God is the one who makes the seed grow”, their parents affirm. In the end, it is not about forcing a path, but about creating an environment where hearing God’s call is as normal as sharing the family table.
