Leonor de Borbón left behind three years of military training and this Monday began an entirely different stage: university life. 🎓
The heir to the throne arrived at the Getafe campus of Carlos III University wearing jeans, a white shirt, sneakers and a shoulder bag, ready to begin the Political Science degree she will pursue over the next four years.
Although the university wants her to have as normal an experience as possible, her first day was far from going unnoticed: journalists, neighbors and curious onlookers gathered to watch her arrive and welcomed her with applause and phones held aloft.
After military academies, sailing and flight training, Leonor is now trading uniforms for classes, notes and exams, although she will hardly be a first-year student like any other. 👀
