Grace, a blind 13-year-old Chihuahua, adores her little human sister. During the pregnancy, she would curl up on her belly and listen to the baby’s heartbeat.
Now that the little girl has arrived, Grace settles beside her in the rocking chair and also accompanies her on stroller walks. Her way of staying close needs no words: she stays there, calm, as if that spot beside her had always been hers.
Katie, her 12-year-old Chihuahua companion, loves the baby too, though in her own way: she can still walk and see quite well, so she doesn’t need to be as close. Grace stays nearby; Katie expresses that same affection differently. 🐾
