Hayley Debra Potter, 59, had been losing teeth for 14 years. Gum disease caused abscesses and led her to lose 19 teeth. In Antalya, Turkey, her 13 remaining teeth were extracted during a four-and-a-half-hour operation; she also had ten implants placed. Potter works as a cleaner at a hospital in Derby.

The treatment cost 10,000 dollars and the flights, 1,300. She will now need to wear dentures and eat soft foods for six months while the implants heal before she can receive crowns and bridges.

She had swelling and bruising, but says she now smiles every time she passes in front of a mirror.
