Gypsy Rose Blanchard had gone out drinking with a friend and came home with a letter in her hands.
According to a September 2025 call obtained by the Daily Mail, she found it among Ken Urker’s things: a note he had supposedly written to an ex. Jealousy did the rest.
She told her friend Amelia Bird that she took a knife from the kitchen and plunged it into the headboard, where she also carved an insult. She broke a picture frame with a photo of the two of them, cut up a blanket she had made for him, and tossed into the air the letters they had written to each other while she was incarcerated.
Then she packed her bags, went to her parents’ house, and sent him offensive messages. Ken responded with photos of the damage and a warning: he would seek sole custody of her daughter Aurora, born in December 2024.
That argument was not reported, and no charges were filed. On October 1, 2026, his 34th birthday, Ken was found dead at his home in Louisiana. The cause of death remains unconfirmed.
