Erling Haaland doesn’t just score goals; now he’s getting half the country to eat vegetables.
Norway’s Directorate of Agriculture confirmed what no one expected: after the 2026 World Cup, sales of bunches of carrots skyrocketed.

The striker appeared in key matches, such as the 2-1 win over Brazil, in which he scored twice, and in campaigns for a vegetable wholesaler, and Norwegians began buying like crazy.

Alexandra Marie Engvold Backström, a Norwegian mom, said that her 6-year-old son now asks for carrots on Saturdays as if they were candy: he calls them ‘Haaland’s sweets’.
Sales of cauliflower, radishes, and beets also rose, but nothing inspired as much tenderness as this scene.
