“We’ve never looked more Norwegian”. With that phrase, Norwegian Air showed off a plane on social media featuring Erling Haaland’s iconic blond ponytail.

The photo made the rounds during the last World Cup, and the airline used it to sell tickets. The problem is that the Manchester City striker hadn’t authorized any of it. Haaland and his company decided that his “distinctive features” were not campaign material and took the airline to court.

The company quickly deleted the post and called the lawsuit “incomprehensible”. But it’s too late to delete it now: a preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 9 in a court in Oslo.

Sometimes football’s most famous hairstyle is worth more than the plane sporting it ✈️
