Ricardo has spent more than 35 years making his way around Bogotá with his ice cream cart. And in all that time, he says, he had never managed to empty it.
Until Esteban Zuloaga Peláez, a content creator, approached him with a proposal. “I want to buy the ice cream you have there, on the condition that you let me give you an unforgettable afternoon”, he said. Ricardo, not quite knowing what to expect.
Zuloaga paid for the cart. Then he put up a sign that read “Free ice cream” and began handing out each popsicle to people passing by. The cart was completely empty. It was the first time Ricardo had sold all his products in a single day, something he had hoped for for decades. Zuloaga posted the video on his Instagram account, and it went viral.
