Rubén had no one to look after Ciro.
His son is 6 years old, has autism spectrum disorder, and is non-speaking. He needs medication and goes to therapy several times a week, something impossible to fit around the schedule of a professional kitchen. And Rubén, a kitchen assistant, had no support network to help him care for Ciro. So he made a difficult decision: he left his job.

But he still had to work. So he started his own business: he makes pizza bases and delivers them himself on an adapted bicycle, with Ciro sitting at the front. Father and son ride through the streets together, never apart for a moment of the day.
When the images were shared, the response was immediate: hundreds of users offered financial help for Ciro’s therapy and made generous gestures to improve his schooling. Rubén dreams of a job with regular hours and, one day, of having a home of his own that will give his son security.
His greatest fear, he said in an interview, is what would happen to Ciro if something ever happened to him.
