21-year-old Dakota Harper and 22-year-old Felicity Eatmon were used to sharing their lives as a couple with thousands of followers on TikTok. But now both face first-degree arson and conspiracy charges over an incident in Charleston, West Virginia.

It all began when an abandoned house was destroyed by flames. The property had no active basic utilities, so investigators began looking into how the fire had started.

Then a key piece of evidence emerged: a surveillance camera.
According to the criminal complaint, footage shows the couple in an alley next to the house shortly before the fire. Felicity allegedly handed Dakota what appeared to be a piece of paper, and the two used an ignition source to set it on fire. The burning paper was then allegedly put inside the house.

But the sequence did not end there. As the flames began to grow, investigators say both went partially back into the house before leaving.
The fire destroyed the house and spread to the Canaan United Methodist Church next door, causing more than US$10,000 in damage.

Harper and Eatmon were arrested two days later, and bail was set at US$10,000 for each of them. For now, authorities have not reported what may have led the couple to start the fire, and the allegations still have to be proven in court.
What appeared to have happened in front of an abandoned house with no witnesses was ultimately captured by a security camera.
