Harry Kane, 32, captain of England and Bayern Munich striker, surpassed Pelé on the list of the all-time top scorers in World Cups with 14 goals to his name. 🇬🇧⚽

The milestone did not go unnoticed in the United Kingdom. MP Layla Moran introduced a motion in Parliament asking for Kane to receive a knighthood, the same honor already held by legends such as Bobby Charlton, Kenny Dalglish and David Beckham. If it goes through, he would officially be called ‘Sir Harry Edward Kane’.

For now it is only a proposal, not a decision by the Crown. But with 85 goals in the England shirt and his place in history already secured, the question being asked in England is simple: how much longer until it becomes official? 👀
