Devendra Suthar has 28 digits.
This carpenter from India was born with seven fingers on each hand and seven toes on each foot due to a congenital condition called polydactyly, which causes a person to be born with more digits than usual.

His case is so exceptional that Guinness World Records verified in 2014 that he had 28 digits in total, recognizing him as the living person with the most fingers and toes. He currently continues to be listed as the holder of that record.

And there’s one detail that makes his story even more unusual: he works as a carpenter. According to Guinness, his extra digits don’t prevent him from doing his job, although he has to be especially careful when using cutting tools.

He even needs specially made shoes to accommodate the seven toes on each foot. An uncommon physical trait that ultimately made him the holder of a world record.
