There they both were: Hayden Panettiere, 18 years old and at the height of her fame for “Heroes”, shaking hands with Donald Trump, then known mainly for his businesses and his television show. No one imagined that years later he would become president of the United States, or that she would end up supporting causes completely opposed to his, such as making Washington D.C. a state.
